Synergy: Creating ParentVue Account

Summary

Instructions for Principals and Secretaries on how to assist parent/guardians on creating their Synergy ParentVue account.

Step-by-Step

1. Navigate to the Student module: PAD Tree > Synergy SIS > Student > Student
   
   
    
2. Search the student by Name or Student ID number}
    
3. Navigate to the Parent/Guardian Tab
    
4. Verify the Holy Trinity of Communication is checked
   
   
    
5. Click on the parents name who needs their account created (This will open a new window)
    
6. Navigate to the ParentVue tab
    
7. Verify the following boxes:
   a. Activation Key
   b. Key Valid Until
   
   
    
8. Check the Key Valid Until date. If the date is a previous date, then you will need to generate a new Activation Key. If the User ID box is already filled in and the Date Activation Key Used box has a date, then the account was already created. 
   • To create a new Activation Key, click on the Create Activation Key button.

9. You can click on Print Activation Key and a document will generate with instructions for the parent/guardian on how to create their ParentVue account.
   
   
    
10. You can also email the instructions by filling in the Email field with the parent/guardian email and clicking on the Create and Email Activation Key button.
