Summary

This article will go over an easy-to-understand overview of the ClassVR web-portal. It will offer guidance in how to plan out and curate a playlist of learning material. It will then explain the basics in how to deliver the material to the headsets. Also, it will provide information on how to view individual headsets, create custom groups for devices, and control devices.

Step-by-Step

Please Note: If you have not had your ClassVR headsets setup, please submit a ticket to the technology department to have them setup

Plan Page

  1. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)Log in to your ClassVR web-portal
    1. You will be directed to your "Plan" page
    2. Here you can plan out your lesson and curate custom or pre-built playlists

Right Panel

  1. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)My Playlist
    1. This selection can be populated with the custom playlists you create and save
  2. My Cloud
    1. You can save playlists to "The Cloud" so it's available across organizations
  3. Shared Playlists
    1. This is a collection of playlists that have been added by any of the members within your class/organization who've permission to add them
  4. Shared Cloud
    1. Cloud service available to all those within the class/organization to save to who have permission to do so

Center Panel

  1. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)In the center of the Plan page will be all the lessons/playlists/tracks that are available to you for creating a new playlist*
    * Some playlists may be locked by a subscription

  1. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)The playlist panel is where you will see all the tracks/lessons you will be delivering to the selected headsets
  2. When you are ready to start delivering your playlist you can select the "Deliver" tab near the top of the page next to "Plan"Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)

Deliver Page

  1. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)The deliver page is where you will control lessons and the headsets themselves remotely
    1. You can choose individual headsets, order them by groups, and view exactly what the headsets see from your computer
Please note: Your computer must be connected to the same network (Wi-Fi) as the headsets, if it wasn't connected to it before submit a ticket to have it connected.

Right Panel

  1. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)The right panel has three sections
    1. Teacher Notes
      1. These are notes that have been attached to each track/lesson for teacher's reference
    2. Student Notes
      1. These are notes that have been attached to each track/lesson for student's reference
    3. Devices
      1. There are three default groups:
        1. Active
          1. Device is on, connected to the network/Wi-Fi, and being worn
        2. Connected
          1. Device is on and connected to the network/Wi-Fi
        3. Disconnected
          1. Device is off and/or not connected to the network/Wi-Fi
  2. The bottom of the panel has device management buttons (Left-to-Right)
    1. Home
      1. This button will send targeted/selected devices to the home screen (Active Devices by Default)
    2. Mute/Unmute
      1. Silences targeted/selected devices
    3. Sync
      1. Synchronizes targeted/selected devices
    4. Filter
      1. Here you can create new filters/groups and select those specific filters/groups to control
    5. Gear
      1. This button will offer three options on controlling targeted/selected devices
        1. Check-In Device(s)
        2. Reboot Device(s)
        3. Shut Down Device(s)

Center Panel

    1. Play/pause and previous/next track or lesson
    2. PreviewUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
      1. Shows a preview of what will be cast to the targeted/selected devices
    3. ClassViewUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
      1. Shows what each targeted/selected device(s) are viewing

Left Panel

  1. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)The left panel is the same as the left panel in the Plan Page
  2. Displays the current tracks/lessons you've selected from the previous page
  3. At the bottom of this panel are buttons for delivering your playlist to the targeted/selected devices (Left-to-Right)
    1. Solo/Group
      1. Choose whether devices will explore tracks/lessons in your playlist as a group or individually
    2. Hour Glass
      1. Send(s) all targeted/selected device(s) to a waiting room
    3. Save
      1. Save your current playlist as a custom playlist
    4. Trash
      1. Delete everything from your current playlist and to start fresh
    5. Download
      1. Have all targeted/selected devices download the content of your playlist preemptively
    6. Send
      1. Sends the current playlist to all targeted/selected devices and downloads the current playlist preemptively
