Synergy: Syncing Grade Book with a New Google Classroom

If you have not created a Google Classroom Class yet, please follow these instructions.

 

Step-by-Step

  1. Log into Synergy.
     
  2. Hover over the Grade Book menu at the top of the page and select Grade Book SetupUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
     
  3. Click the Class Settings option at the top of the screenUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
     
  4. Click the “edit” button on the top left side of the screenUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
     
  5. Once in Edit Mode, change the toggle switch for Google Classroom from disabled to Enabled by clicking on it.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
     
  6. Click on the carrot below advanced options to expand this section, and enter the class code you wrote down in step 2 in the Class Code field. The three toggle switches shown should all show on, and a Sync date at the bottom should be set to the first day of school or before.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
     
  7. Click the green save button in the upper left corner of the screen.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
     
  8. Your TeacherVUE will then begin the sync process with Google Classroom and the screen below will appear. Do not exit or close the screen until this process completes.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)

    You will receive periodic updates on the status as it moves forward: (This process will take a little while)Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
     
  9. Your end result will be the following showing in your Google Classroom. Simply click the accept button.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
