How to access and navigate the Technology Work Order site.

Step-by-Step

  1. Visit www.lansingschools.net
     
  2. Select Quicklinks in the top-right corner.

  3. Select Technology Work Order Request from the dropdown menu.

  4. Make sure your name appears in the upper-right corner of your screen. If your name does not appear, it will say “Sign In”. Please sign in with your District Google Account.

  5. From there, please select from the following:
    1. Knowledge Base – “Find an Answer”. Browse our Knowledge Base articles for helpful How-To’s.
    2. Work Order System – “Get Help”. View specific Categories and Services to submit a work order ticket!
    3. View My Tickets – “View my Tickets”. View, update, and check on the status of your tickets.
    4. Search the Client Portal - Search bar featured at the top of the screen. Input a keyword and view the Services and Knowledge Base articles associated with that word.
       
  6. Within the Knowledge Base, you can browse helpful How To's (examples shown below).

7. To visit our Work Order System, you will need to submit a ticket from our available services (examples show below).

8. To view the tickets you have submitted, navigate to View My Tickets and ensure the Status Class is set to All Selected. This allows you to see the status in which your tickets are in: On Hold, In Process, Closed, Resolved, etc.

9. To use the search bar feature, type in what you need help with and related services and articles will populate. 

  • The compass icon means it is a Service. If you select that option, you will be taken to the service to submit a work order ticket. 
  • The light bulb icon means it is a Knowledge Base article. If you select that option, you will be taken to the Knowledge Base article to learn more about the issue you are experiencing and how you can troubleshoot it yourself.
  • If you type in a word and hit enter or select the magnifying glass after, it will take you to a Search page, displaying all related services and articles.
