Need to assign a fee to a student for a broken/lost Chromebook or Chromebook charger?
Step-by-Step
To add a Current Fee
- Synergy SIS > Fees – Direct Payment > Student Fees
- Find the appropriate student.
- Click Add in the Current Fees section to open the Add Student Fee screen.
- Underneath Fee Information, enter the appropriate information below.
- Fee Code (choose one below):
- Tech20: Technology Device Replacement Fee
- Tech25: Chromebook Power Cord

- Once a fee code is selected, this screen will auto-populate with information pertaining to the selected fee code.
- Notes:
- Not required, but you can record any details/instruction related to the particular fee, such as damages.
- If Tech20 is selected, the information populated should look like this:

- Select Save. The fee will display under the Current Fees section.
To add a Payment History
- Select Show Detail next to the Current Fees section:
- Scroll to select Add in the Payment History section to add a Payment History record.
- In the appropriate fields, enter the information. All other fields left blank will auto-populate based on the information given.
- Date – Date of the payment.
- Time – Time of the payment.
- Amount – Amount of the payment.
- Payment Method – Cash, Check, Credit/Debit, Online
- Check Number – If applicable.
- Payment Note – Any additional information regarding the payment.
- For example, view picture below:
- Select Save. The fee is no longer under Current Fees, as it moved to the Paid Fees section.
- You can view more information regarding Paid Fees or Outstanding Fees on the History tab of the Student Fees page.
