District Usernames and Passwords

Summary

This article explains which username and password goes with a given system or application.

Staff Logins

District User Name and Password

• District Username - LLLLLFMMDD
  • LLLLL is the first five letters of your last name
    • If your last name is shorter than 5 characters, underscores will fill it out to 5 characters.
  • F is the first initial of your first name.
  • MM is the numerical representation of the month you were born in and DD is the date.
    • Examples - Joe Johnson born August 7th. - johnsj0807 , Robert West born December 18th. west_j1218
• Password Requirements:
  • At least 8 to 15 characters in length.
  • At least 1 upper case letter and 1 lower case letter.
  • At least 1 number.
  • At least one special character.

Systems and applications that use just "username":

• Computer login
• Synergy

Systems and applications that use "username@lansingschools.net":

• Chromebook login
• Google Chrome browser 
• Google Classroom
• Unified Talent 
• Think Central and My HRW - login via the Google Waffle after logging into Google Chrome browser

Other notable logins:

• Office 365 Email, Outlook, and Teams use "username@lansingschools.net" and the custom password that was setup for Outlook and Teams only. 
• Employee Access Center - Your username is your Employee ID (or first.last@lansingschools.net) and the password is the last 4 of SSN.
  • Issues with logging into the EAC should be directed to Human Resources.
